The Studiolo of the Duke

Great expectations for the opening of the exhibition "The Studiolo of the Duke. The return of Illustrious Men at the Court of Urbino" that will be open to the public in the Ducal Palace of Urbino from March 12 until July 4. The show returns to the vision of the public the private office of Federico of Montefeltro in its original form, before its dispersion occurred at the dawn of the seventeenth century. You’ll admire original art treasures, which , centuries later, evoke in all their pristine and complex suggestive atmosphere of the Renaissance in Urbino. The exhibition also features 14 tables exceptionally loaned by the Louvre Museum for the occasion of this important exhibition.




The place

a few kilometres  from Urbino, the birthplace of the Renaissance and Raffaello the famous artist, amongst the hills of the Marche Region is located in Acqualagna, "the Truffle capital", a charming private villa decorated with taste and refinement.

The Story

"Il giardino sul fiume 'gets its name because it is built along the Candigliano river, less than 1 km from the centre of Acqualagna, famous for its truffles which can be enjoyed all year round.

The villa

The villa consists of a spacious terrace with a gazebo where the views of the river can be admired.

 On the ground floor there is a bright and welcoming porch with wicker sofas and large windows, a spacious living room with an ancient fireplace, a kitchen with terrace for eating outdoors and a bathroom with a large bathtub for two people.

Upstairs there is a comfortable sitting area from which there is access to the large terrace, a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a double bedroom with a canopy bed, a bedroom with double bed and bathroom with shower.

Attached to the villa there is a small but comfortable annexe for two people with kitchen and fireplace, a bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a nice terrace overlooking the river.

The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden with an ornamental swimming pool with cromoterapy, barbecue and shady private parking area.
